Pics-P.Carlisle-17/07/2011

Hi Guys

Apologies for sending the e mail out so late but I have had electricity problems at the office and my plugs / file server / switchboard does not work. Anyway that's Africa.

Last Sunday was absolutely fantastic I counted a record number of pilots (36 in total) that came through to fly. The wind was reasonably calm but picked up now and again unfortunately perpendicular to the runway. It was surprising to see how many planes got trashed. Broken elastics, bad batteries enemy tail gunners were just some of the reasons. I can fortunately report that none of it was as a result of bad piloting.

Please guys we need to be careful regarding safety. I see many pilots trying to get the plane to stop at the pilots feet. Please use the full extent of the runway and keep landing and taking off aircraft away from pilots and spectators.

Jaco Coetzee has joined our ranks. Is there any objections to Jaco Joining?

The week commencing the 25 th of July the graders will come through and level off the new runway part and flatten a few other areas. That weekend we need to install the water pipes etc. If anyone would like to show us their handy man skills you are most welcome to join us. Please could limit flying on Saturday 30 July 2011.

Enjoy see you all on Sunday

Peter
